Is NASA The future for space administration of the U.S? Is it the only reliable source the U.S. can depend on? Over the years NASA has been carrying the U.S. in space administration. However many companies have the capabilities to reach into space and start their own plans in space. NASA is not the only administration that has the technology to reach space, therefore that is a reason why NASA should not be the only one. NASA is also getting overcharged standing alone in the millions of fund cuts. If NASA splits into multitudes there would be less worries with budget cuts. NASA itself already has the future of space travel planned but is that really what the people want in space travel. If companies were involved in the area we can do much more …show more content…
It can’t always be relied to work on itself. For example you can not always rely on one person to do the work you have to share it among other to get to the task much quicker. According to Smith, “Just this year, the president proposed drastically cutting NASA’s exploration systems by more than $440 million while earth science accounts have increased by 63 percent during the past eight years.”(par 2). According to this article NASA is starting to be cut in funds which mean less money to work on important missions such as funding to get to the International Space Station. However if they choose certain companies such as SpaceX they would have their own budget not being cut and would be able to get the task down than just NASA completing it by itself. As actually stated from an article it would almost be considered impossible to actually accomplish tasks such as colonizing Mars. The more companies NASA begins trusting in personal space travel the quicker they can accomplish tasks by combining their weaknesses and strong points. I can see how NASA has less worries working individually, but they have been making decisions that have not been a great choice. Hitchhiking a ride from Russia and wasting millions in tax payer’s money is pointless and wasteful. Not only is this decision pointless but make it seem as the U.S. is not strong enough to maintain other methods to getting their own astronauts to the ISS. Therefore, …show more content…
According to Pasztor, “U.S. space officials expect that entrepreneurs and companies—rather than a consortium of nations—will be launching and operating various space stations for in-orbit research.”(par 1).If they give the privilege of space travel to others such as strong companies we can make profit in space. It can even help the economy by increasing the need of jobs in space to help corporations start business. We can even make a lot of profit that will lead to future development in space travel. With the help of all these companies we can accomplish more than just exploring. All companies have different strong points with all of this each company could have a goal and research even faster than NASA could. Then most of this research and experimentation could benefit the U.S. even more than NASA
