1. The DHC said Bernard has heretical view to soma and sport, the “incorrect” view to sex and he doesn’t obey the education from Our Ford. Bernard let Lina come out and point out DHC as John’s father to show how ridiculous he is.
2. She said that it was DHC who made her pregnant and get a baby. John even called him “my father!”
3. They were surprised and they laughed at DHC. Because being pregnant and having a baby is considered dirty and gross, they can only accept a baby who came from a bottle. Being a father or a mother is a ridiculous thing.

1. Because being a mother is considered as an obscenity. She is also from a bottle instead of a real savage, so she doesn’t really have thoughts. The most important reason is her bad appearance: having lost her youth with bad teeth and terrible skin. Her appearance makes others feel disgusted.
