“The Lakota Way” by Joseph M. Marshall III, is about Humility. The reason why this book is about humility is because most of the stories that are in this book talk about the great lakota fables that are about humility and arrogance. The book talks about great native-american stories that have been told throughout the Lakota history, like the story of Crazy horse, white buffalo calf maiden, iktomi, bear butte, etc. I chose this book as my Reflective essay because first, i am native american, second, I’ve heard a lot of these stories throughout my life, third, I wanted to know more about the native-american fables, and their true meaning. However, i wanted to know more stories of the native-american past.
