People started to become curious on what transpired on this planet Earth before society existed. The human species has been around for quite awhile and has come very far. As an advanced species, they will continue to thrive and grow for many years to come.
Humans have been on this Earth for roughly 200,000 years and counting. Many incredible events have occurred due to the existence of humans. They have grown, advanced, and became more intellectual. The first humans ever discovered were believed to be not too bright, cavemen style people. The Mayan calendars, just like our calenders, were created by the Mayans so they had an interpretation of time. They are rather impressive and have made many astronomy and archaeology experts curious. They have been studied extensively and are believed to be interpreted well. Although there is one calendar, developed by the ancient Mayans, that has caused a deal of arguments and frustration. The interpretation of the Mayan Long Calendar has left a surprisingly widespread and significant number of people wondering whether or not they should panic. The dates that were supposedly supposed to be the end of the world were created because they marked the end of the Mayan Calendar. This calendar that is widely known as the Maya Calendar is actually the Mayan Long Count Calendar. All of the Mayan calendars served a purpose. The purpose of the Long Count Calendar was to measure time into the future or past. They had advanced mathematical skills as well as astrology skills. They also became advanced in building their everyday homes. Many cities had sophisticated waterways using a hydraulic technology to supply water through the sprawled out communities. Prehistoric Mayan homes were constructed out of organic materials. Common materials would be mud or straw. The roofs were sometimes made of palm fronds and/ or constructed with wood. Many Mayans spread lime on their walls in order to brighten and lighten them. Mayan homes usually had one or two sets of stairs, that were usually constructed long and wide. Most Mayans put sculptures along the stairs for the decor, but some would leave their house plain and simple, with no sculptures.
Another interesting, profound subject on the Mayans were that of their views on religion.
Mayan religion is one of the most profound and complex polytheistic religions out there.
