Narrative Continuation of “The Pedestrian” The car moved down the empty river-bed streets and off away, leaving the empty streets with the empty sidewalks, and no sound and no motion all the rest of the chill November night. As Mr. Leonard Mead sunk into the clean police car seat, so did his stomach. He worried why the car was taking him to the Physciatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies. He's been walking this same path every night for a decade, why now Mr. Mead thought as he looked out the window and noticed he and the car hadn’t been in the city for a while, they drove through a deserted-like land that reminded him of a decaying plant. Mr. Mead got a deep, horrific feeling in his gut, as he and the car approached a mountain, Mr. Mead felt like he’d just been dropped off the side of it. Where is this research center located? He thought he might as well be sent off to the infinite unknown on a rocket ship to find this research center. “Get out,” the car shouts, as it props its door open. Leonard cautiously advanced out of the car. He waved to it in an apprehensive manner, as it drove off into the misty, foggy distance, leaving a cloudy trail of dirt. He looked around for a sight of any buildings, nothing. All of a sudden, someone or something grabbed his arms and dragged him away. “Excuse me!” he shouted. He tried to wiggle out of their grasp, but could only seem to move his legs. They started trekking up the rocky mountain, dragging Mr. Mead behind them. In the fleet of this climb, Mr. Mead caught one glimpse of the people taking him. Two men dressed in blank white suits, carelessly dragging him up the mountain.
