An argument over a certain aspect of political campaigns has caught the public’s eye. The issue in question is how these campaigns are being financed. In past years the ideology of “Big Business” running government has expanded throughout the citizenry of our United States. It is our fear as citizens, for rather than our elected representatives representing us, they are instead being “bought out” by large corporations, most often in the form of Super Pacs and other forms of financing said representatives campaigns. Therefore, stricter regulations on campaign finance must be enforced to protect ourselves from such large corporations who believe they can simply buy our representatives votes. By doing so we can cripple the spread of corruption in our government. The massive quantities of money often funnelled into a certain candidate, candidates, or parties campaign fund can certainly be seen as questionable. Lately, it appears the Supreme Court had moved away from a previous standpoint of upholding aggregate limits in campaign finance.
