I attended the North Tampa Alcohol Treatment Center. It is a facility that is located at 22910 SR 56 Wesley Chapel, Florida 33543. I attend the program on Monday the 20th around 7Pm, it was one hour meeting, but I had stayed for the next one because I wanted to get more insight on the program. They specialize in Alcohol abuse, Substance, and Addiction. Their program has a supportive and caring environment to begin the healing process. Everybody was very nice and very helpful. They have a 30 days recover program. When you are there, you will get to connect with others who are struggling with similar situation. At North Tampa, they provide a state-of-the-art treatment program and a safe environment to work through your addiction and underlying …show more content…
At the meeting everyone has to respect each other, and if you can’t you have to leave the meeting. You are not obligated to share any personal experiences if you don’t want to. And in the meeting only first name is use, and attendance is never disclosed outside of a meeting. Any fee that is giving is voluntary, so you are not requiring paying for the meeting. The meeting is called “The Road to Recovery” and it is encourage that your welfare should come first, and personal recovery depends on your unity. In the group meeting, there is one ultimate authority, which is a loving God as he may express himself in the group. They talked about the first step to addiction recovery is deciding that you need to make a change. Maybe you can see how your addiction is creating problems in your life, or maybe your friends or family members have approached you to tell you that they are worried about you. Regardless why you have decided to make a change, the important thins is you are making it, and are motivated to improve your life and your health by putting an end to an addiction to alcohol or drugs, or whatever behavioral addiction or disorder is holding your life
