George Washington, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Mahatma Gandhi, all very prestigious men, but all very overly talked about. Most would say they would converse with these people if they had a chance, but so much is already known about them. It seems to be that a large percentage of people, if they had the opportunity, would speak to them. In my opinion, Theodore Roosevelt is one of the most accomplished men in American History and is my person favorite president. He played many roles over his life, has had many odd stories told about him, and is overall a very interesting man to learn about.

Some of his roles include being a soldier, a president, a police commissioner, a governor, an outdoorsman, and a father.

One such story I would like to ask him about mostly would have to be why he finished his speech on October 14, 1912. On that day he had a 90 minute speech prepared, but one thing set him back a few minutes. A bar keeper by the name of John Schrank pulled out a Colt revolver and shot TR from five feet away. Instead of going to the hospital, he wanted to give his speech, and so he did. In turn he had the men who caught the bear kill it to put it out of its misery. Even though Teddy didn’t want the bear, the men sold it anyway to a shopkeeper who called it ‘Teddy’s Bear’ and the name stuck. Shoppers who came in wanted …show more content…
Why would you resign from such a comfy job in the Navy to fight in the Army. Why would you become the police commissioner of New York City after that and later the governor, and eventually the president. Why have so many job changes and rise your life and only have temporary jobs. I would also like to know why, at the age of 58 he wanted to go and fight in World War 1 on the front lines with his reinstituted Rough Riders. He would have went, fought, and died is President Woodrow Wilson let his fight. Teddy Roosevelt Later died two years later at age 60, one year after the end of World War
