Our history has had major impacts on why we do what we do and why we are the way we are. There are many issues, events, and beliefs in our history that has caused this. I am focusing on the way The Thirteen Colonies grew and developed. They developed differently because of the geography of the different regions, even though all of them were settled along the Atlantic coast. The New England colonies had coastal areas, The Middle colonies had fertile soil and a long growing season and The Southern colonies had favorable climate and soil for agriculture.

The New England colonies had coastal areas, that made good harbors. They also had dense forests areas, poor rocky, and a short growing season, these made growing crops difficulte. The New England
