The Salem Witch Trials is all about witchcraft and tons of executions. It also has to do with a lot of accusations. The time period from when they started accusing people of witchcraft was between February 1692 and May 1693. This all took place in Salem Village Massachusetts.

It all begun in the springtime of 1692, in a group of young women. The townspeople thought that those young women were either possessed by the devil or working for the devil. Everyone had heard about what had happened with those girls. A few months after that, about 150 more women and men were accused of witchcraft. By this time, it was already September 1692, people had turned against all of the trials with just their opinions.

Those girls were on trial and were released from jail at the end of May in 1963. The women that were accused, people thought that they were working for the Devil. The townspeople thought that the women were trying to ruin the Christians.

One of the accused witches Tituba had confessed. She had told the townspeople that her and the other accused witches were in fact working for the Devil. All of the townspeople had panicked and decided to go on a witch hunt. Tituba’s confession is basically the main reason why the Salem Witch Trials had happened.

Abigail Williams was one of the accusers of the Salem Witch Trials. Williams was one of witnesses with what had happened with the three other women. Williams was born on September 15, 1680. She also died in 1692. She was only 12 when she passed away.

Elizabeth Proctor was another woman convicted of witchcraft. Proctor was married to John Proctor. She was pregnant so the baby had saved her life. She was born in 1652. She had died in 1692.

January 1697, the witch trials had ended. One of the main people had apologized for his actions in doing his part in there. His name is Samuel Sewall. He apologized to the townspeople
