There are many heroic samurai’s and shoguns. Tokugawa Ieyasu was the first shogun in Japan. He ruled from the capital of Eda which is now known as Tokyo today. In 1603 he became the first shogun. But before he became Shogun he had to work his way up into power. Before he was Tokugawa Ieyasu he was Matsudaira Takechiyo and also Matsudaira Jirōsaburō Motonobu. The famous Tokugawa Ieyasu’s accomplishments include it climb in power and he becoming a Shogun. To begin, Ieyasu’s first accomplishment was his climb to power. Before he was Tokugawa Ieyasu he was Matsudaira Kurandonosuke Motoyasu. At the age of sixteen he was married to a women called Lady Tsukiyama. After he was married and had a son he allied with the Oda clan because his family was being held hostage by another clan called the Imagawa clan. During his time“Motoyasu defeated the military forces of the Mikawa Monto within Mikawa province at the Battle of Azukizaka...” During the battle the people did not agree with him and so this led to a war which he won.
