Unit 14: installing and maintaining computer hardware
Explain the benefits of installing and maintaining hardware for these two technology systems:

1. An upgraded IT suite for a college
Benefits:
I can spend less if I will upgrade specific component for my computer rather than buying whole new computer.
If I will upgrade computer components (e.g. Ram, graphic card and hard drive) then computer system will work faster and will be more reliable.
I will upgrade the computer hardware to get more functions (e.g. wireless internet access, better gamming and graphic performance and printing or scanning the documents through wireless connectivity). It is good idea to turn your computer into wireless compatible system and the system will look clean and tidy because we will not use wires.

A brand new automated production line for a car manufacturer
Benefits:
Upgrading hardware on my machines or computer will make them do work faster and this can hugely increase their performance.
I will buy high quality and faster desktop computer to manage the machines because cheap desktops or laptop with less specs may not be able to handle the heavy duty machines.
I will employ less workers and buy more machines because machines are more reliable and accurate than humans. Machines can also work for days with no rest.
Machine can be used to lift cars and to do more difficult work that are dangerous for humans, so that workers will feel safer while doing their job.
Investing money to buy more machines (robotic arm etc.) can increase the production rate of the cars and can possibly make more profit.
Small pieces of metals or dust can hugely effect the accuracy of the machines which may cause wrong painting pattern and working slow. Cleaning and maintaining machines can help them to do their work better and accurate.
