What Contributed To The Fall Of The Roman Empire?

There are many reasons to why the Roman empire fell apart, but one problem was that the population grew too rapidly to control. Also the rise of population led us to the rise of new religions. When the population grew too large, the romans decided to solve the problem by dividing the empire to two empires; the two empires are known as Eastern and Western. The western empire spoke Latin and worshipped Roman Catholic, while the eastern empire spoke Greek and worshipped under Christian church. The two different empires worshipped different religions, and beliefs. The traditional Romans believed there were a lot of gods to worship, but the Christians believed in only in one god. With the different views of gods, it is one of the reasons that contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire. …show more content…
The eastern part was known to have agriculture, stones, woods, etc… The western part had to purchase goods from east, but didn’t have any goods to exchange with them. This led to the west to have the lack of money, and the west became poor. The high demands on more money made the western government to produce more money. As the government produced more money, it eventually led to inflation. Roman Empires began to no longer serve the army, which was another problem. These men decided to stay home with families instead of fighting. As the government had less money, the government decided to underpay or sometimes these soldiers don’t get paid. This eventually led to the government to hire cheaper and non-reliable soldiers to fight in Roman armies. As these non-reliable soldiers fought, it caused Rome to lose a lot of wars and in the end decrease the amount of control these empires
