There were many causes of the American Revolution. ¨Taxation without Representation is Tyranny,¨ said James Otis, because he was upset with the British for taxing the Americans. Three important causes were the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere and William Dawes ride and the battles of Lexington and Concord also the Declaration of Independence.

To start off with, the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party happened on December 16,1773. The colonists protested and tried to make the tea ships turn around but they didn’t turn around. There were over 340 chests of tea dumped overboard. This cost over 1 million dollars in money today. The point of this was to make British reduce the tea price and also to protest tea taxes. Some parts of the ride was to capture military leaders, and steal colonists' weapons. This ride prepared the colonists and helped the colonists fight the battles. This led to the battles for Lexington and Concord. In the war the people that were fighting were the British and the Patriots. The war was important because it was the first was during this time.

The last key point, the Declaration of Independence. Five men wrote the Declaration and 56 men signed the Declaration. The Declaration of Independence symbolized freedom for white men, for their separation from Britain, and to be fairly represented. This was the last cause of the American Revolution. This was a key to war from the Patriots to the British.

There were many causes of the American Revolution. The three main causes were the Boston Tea Party the point of this was to make British reduce the tea price.
