Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet's death because he was involved in a lot of the conflicts/situations Romeo and Juliet were in, he knew that the Capulet's wouldn't have approved of Juliet marrying Romeo because they wanted her to marry Paris, and the potion plan backfired. Friar Lawrence knew what would have happened to Romeo and Juliet in the future and even foreshadowed the events of them dying. Another reason why I believe he's responsible for their deaths is because he knew that they were to young to get married. Juliet was only 13 years old and Romeo was 18 years old a complete age difference between the two and Friar Lawrence noticed that. It's quite obvious that he's the root to all the problems Romeo and Juliet were in and there's plenty of evidence.

After Friar Lawrence seeing both of them dead, he ends up running away from the scene but later gets caught. He knows that he's responsible for all of the tragedies that had occurred and that's why he runs away. If he didn't run away, he wouldn't look so guilty for the cause of their death. He then explained the reasons for their deaths and was punished by the king.

In conclusion, Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet's for plenty of reasons. He foreshadowed their deaths, a loud them to get married at such a young age, he knew that conflict would occur if they did get married, and he tried running away after seeing them both dead. All of those reasons prove that he is guilty for their deaths and there isn't anything else that proves otherwise. There were positive things to their deaths and negative things, the families ended their feud and built statues for Romeo and Juliet. The negative result was the death of Romeo and
