The Holocaust was one of the darkest times in history, where millions of people were massacred. When people think of the Holocaust, they think of Hitler and the Nazis being the main bad guys. However, it's important to look at other countries and SS officers too. “Louis passengers who returned to Europe, 254 are known to have died in the Holocaust.620 who returned to the continent, 366 are known to have survived the war” Other countries had a chance to help, but they turned their backs on people who needed them. This exposes that if countries hadn’t closed their borders and turned their backs on Jewish refugees, a lot more Jewish people could’ve survived.
