They were too confident about their arrival.However they didn’t know that they were walking on thin ice.On Virginia,the spring of 1607,three English ships with more than 100 settlers each sail up the James River.The English settlers wanted to get rich and start a new life by going to there New World.By 1611, 80% of the colonists die.Why did so many people lose their lives in Jamestown?The main 3 reasons that answer this question are because they had lack of food, they had contaminated water, and they had diseases that killed most of the colonists from Jamestown.
