Activity fairs. Some activities are awesome, like the drama club or French club. Others are so bad they make me question their existence. Seriously, who wants to join the math club or the knitting club? I'll tell you who — losers who can't find acceptance anywhere else.

As I was forcefully dragged across each activity stand by my best friend, Juliana, I couldn't help but wonder why we were forced to pick something out of the options we had or risk going to summer school for failing our respected grade.

Was our school trying to get us to become more active? We'd be more active if our school wasn't such a bore-fest. Knitting Club in 2014? Come on, Fairview High! This isn't the decade of Hairspray.

It seems far-fetched and out of my comfort zone, but isn't that what the activity fair is all about? Doing something out of your comfort zone?"

I agreed with him. Actually, I would have agreed to anything he said. If he asked me if I thought dogs were the greatest animal ever, I would've told him 'yes' even though I was more of a cat person.

"Oh, so what activity did you sign up for?" I asked. I knew what activity I wanted to participate in — any activity Andrew signed up for.

"The — " Before Andrew could tell me, Juliana was standing in front of me waving her hands in my face. I gave her a glare that was so evil, if possible, she'd be dead right now.

"What are you doing?" I hissed as I glared daggers at her. Juliana knew how much I liked Andrew, and she knew how incredibly awkward I was, especially around him. I wanted to murder her for ruining my moment with Andrew. What was she thinking?

She grinned. A big, huge grin like she had just won the lottery and held up a clipboard with a bunch of signatures going down the paper.

On the list I saw my name. I also saw hers. But that wasn't the reason why I was no longer mad at her. Because right below mine was Andrew Grayson's name.
