Choose Responsibility is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 advocating to lower the drinking age from 21 to 18 and encourage conversations about drinking American culture and shift the culture to empower people between the ages of 18-20 to be allowed to make informed decisions about alcohol (Choose Responsibility, n.d.). Choose Responsibility (n.d.) argues that if an 18 year old has legal rights and responsibilities such as; the right to vote, marriage, driving, serve as a juror, be tried as an adult, serve in the military or in other words have the age of majority, then that young adult should be able to decide in purchasing and consuming alcohol as a realistic age limit (International Center for
