Data: Table 2 for the most parts was simply weighing the products, this was the case for the categories as follows: mass of beaker and liquid, Mass of Alka-Seltzer, and mass of contents in the beaker after the reactions completed. The two sections in this table that required math was total mass of content in the beaker before reactions and mass of CO2 produced. To find the total mass of contents in the beaker before the reaction began we added the Mass of the beaker and liquid plus the mass of the Alka-Seltzer tablet. Sample can be seen of this below in the Data section. To find the mass of CO2 produced we took the total mass of the contents in the beaker before reactions minus the mass of the contents in the beaker after the reaction. …show more content…
This lab also showed us what is the limiting reaction along with how to find the mass of NaHCO3.
Materials: 8 Alka-Seltzers tablets, 200 mL white vinegar, (3) 250 mL beakers, (2) 50 mL graduated Cylinders, Distilled

We also, while setting up for the individual experiments noted the temperature of the room, and the atmospheric pressure given by our instructor, this information can be found at the top of Table 2. Then we started on the individual experiments by pouring the recommended amount of distilled water and vinegar into each beaker per the table below. Once the liquid was in the beaker we weighted the beaker and the liquid inside as a mass. After measuring the beaker and the vinegar/water mixture we took the mass of the Alka-Seltzer tablet alone, then placed into the beaker and waited for the bubbling to stop before weighing the total mixture again. This was done a total of 8 times once for each experiment mix laid out below in table 1. During this time experiment 2 was spilled by mistake and so we had to redo the entire experiment over again and not try to continue with the spilled
