On a beautiful September Tuesday morning, devastation occurred throughout the United States. The United States was attacked by terrorists and it changed the world forever. First at 7:59 A.M. the American Airlines Flight 11 took off from the Boston Logan International Airport in transport to Los Angeles. This plane was carrying 92 passengers aboard. At 8:14 A.M. the United Airlines Flight 175 took off into the sky heading from Boston International to Los Angeles. They were transporting 65 people on the plane. At 8:19 A.M. the flight attendants that were aboard Flight 11 tell personnel on the ground that they have been hijacked. Soon after, the Federal Bureau of Investigations are notified. But they did not make it off the ground from Cape Cod before the plane struck the World Trade Center. At 8:41 A.M. the fourth and final plane is the United Flight 93. This plane leaves from Newark Airport and is heading for San Francisco with 44 passengers aboard. At 8:46 A.M. the first plane, Flight 11 crashes into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. This plane took a direct hit into the 93-99 floors. There was an immediate dispatch of units from the NYPD and FDNY at 8:47 A.M. Also at this time there was an evacuation of the North Tower. President George W. Bush was alerted about the attacks by his Chief of Staff at 8:50 A.M. At 9:02 A.M. The Port Authority ordered for a complete evacuation of both the towers. At 9:03 A.M., Flight 175 crashed into floors 75-85 of the South Tower of the World Trade Center. The FAA bans all flights leaving and coming to NYC and airspace around New York at 9:08 A.M. All the bridges and tunnels in New York were shut down at 9:21 A.M. At 9:24 A.M. NEADS has been alerted by the FAA that Flight 77 has been hijacked.
