Ancient Civilization’s

Classical civilizations made great achievements in the cultures of many places. Of these places the Han Dynasty and the civilization of ancient rome made many astonishing achievements in some of the most important fields we have today. These advancements made in the fields of science, art, and religious thought paved the way to great advancements in society today.
As of the Han and Roman civilizations many advances in the field of science occurred. Of the Han society one of the most revolutionizing advances was in the creation of paper. Paper was created in 105 C.E and was useful in the mass production of books which paved the way for a rise in Bureaucracy. Since the Han’s respected farming so much the majority of their other notable inventions were in that field. Inventions such as the collar harness allowed for horses and such creatures pull heavier loads while creations such as the water wheel were created to grind grains. In the Han Dynasty the use of organized ceramic production did some big things to how their artwork was made. The use of this allowed for the mass production of functional vessel and even allowed them to mold perfect vessel designs. Another advancement in art for the hans was the use of lead glazing in low fire to add unique colors to the ceramic vessels that they mass produced. While the Hans were big on pottery and such the Romans were pretty big on their prized sculptures. In Ancient Rome some of their most profound art advances were in their sculptures because they believed that these masterpieces were the highest form of Roman art possible.
