Animals In Captivity

I think that animals shouldn’t be kept in captivity. One reason is that zoos aren’t educational. Personally, I have never seen any person at a zoo look at an educational sign, or asked any zoo workers about the animals. The second reason is, the animals in a way are forced to entertain us. People just look at them expecting them to do something. “When animals are being looked at, sometimes people just leave because they aren't interesting enough, just reminding us that animals are being forced to perform.” Constantly animals in zoos are being forced to “perform”. It seems that animals are either boring, or they perform and they are interesting. "Possibly the biggest lie that zoos tell people is that by visiting them, people will learn about wild animals. But the only thing that zoos teach people is that it’s OK to keep animals in captivity—bored, cramped, lonely, and very far from home." When you go to the zoo you learn little to none. They aren’t treated fairly at zoos. "Circuses, zoos, aquariums, dog fighting, hunting, fishing, horse racing, bullfighting… these practices keep animals in captivity and use them against their will for human entertainment."
