Anne Lamott wrote “Shitty First Drafts” in Language Awareness and, she tells about how people write shitty first draft. Without writing terrible first drafts we would not get to the perfect third draft. People think that professional writers get a tremendous first draft and don't have to write anymore drafts. Professional writers don’t just sit down and start writing the perfect story. She says the only way to get to a tremendous final draft is to start with a shitty draft. After getting the first draft down then mark it up for mistakes. According to Lamott the last draft is the dental draft (Lamott 93-96).
