School administrators often have concerns that lead them to believe certain pieces of literature should be banned in schools. However, banning books is a violation of the Constitutional right to freedom of speech because book banning is censorship. People’s freedom is not complete unless they can actually read what is written. If books are banned, it’s really the same thing as keeping the authors from speaking, and keeping students from listening. The fact that school administrators are banning books is unacceptable because parents should have the right to say what their kids should read. We all know that when it comes to our parents they know best. So why let someone you might not know take away such a thing as a book for your child
