1. The title of the book is "Bless Me, Ultima."Author is Rudolfo Anaya, and pages read are 1-262 and the introduction x-xiii by Rudolfo Anaya: Originally published 1972.

2. After finishing and in between reading the book there were tears shed because of the overwhelming obstacles Antonio goes through in his young life. While reading this book I questioned my own religion like Tony and Florence. Florence is told to believe in the church/ religion that has a God who has cheated him of the simple beautiful things like a family. He has to have full faith and trust in a God that has no physical proof of existence, forgiveness or power to help people in the time of need. Tony in the other hand has a bit of faith in God and I could relate to both.

One minor character is Tony's mother Maria she comes quiet family of farmers and because she kept on pressing Tony to become educated and be the future priest of El Puerto. The second minor character is the Tony's father, Gabriel comes from a family of vaqueros the Marez and because of his family's past Tony's older brother, Gabriel's son did not stay and that impacted Antonio by making sure that he would full his parents dreams and expectations.

5. The summer Ultima came to stay with Antonio life started to unravel in the place name El Puerto. Antonio learned life was hard but there was still beauty within it and at his side his family and faith.

The fictional world where witches are dancing around a fire praising satan and a golden carp is leading a town of people are like said before but both consist of bowing before a power greater than one's own and follow their commands. The major climax in this book was the death of the owl which is the death of Ultima. At this moment in Tony's life he says "it shattered my childhood into a thousand sand fragments" (258). The internal conflict that Antonio has is slowly being resolved not only during the death of Ultima but as well when he was running in the llano to save her life.
