The Boston Tea Party was a protest that took place on December 16, 1773. This act of boycotting was against the Tea Act. This act was not intended to raise revenue in the colonies and also it did not place any more tax on anything. The act was established to help the East India Company come out of debt and get rid of all the tea they had not being sold. The leaders in our colonies believed that this act was just an act to raise popularity for the other taxes that had already been placed earlier on.
