During World War II, Japan and Germany had prisoner of war camps. The purpose of both camps were to capture American soldier and allies during the war, but the Japanese were far worse. The German prisoner of war camps (POWs) were far less gruesome and aggressive as the Japanese POWs. The Japaneseforced them to do hard labor and fed them far less than needed. German POWs compared to Japanese sounded like paradise. Many Americans said there were good and bad Germans, but all Japanese were bad, because of the way they were treated in the prison camps.
