The 1980 Olympic hockey team in “Miracle”, movie, is a little different than the one in , book, “The Boys of Winter”. The first comparison is the tone or pace of the book and movie. The movie has a more suspenseful plot whereas the book jumps around. In the film, the movie starts slowly and builds excitement and suspense. As it goes along, the movie starts with training camp and how the team is picked, then shows some parts of some pre-Olympic games, and then shows all of the exciting parts of the actual USSR game. You can feel the pace of the movie pick up as it goes along. Even the music in the movie gets more exciting and louder as it goes along. One example of the music getting louder and more uplifting is when the team has to skate Herbies.
