Introduction
What is the definition of art? Did you know there are eight different types of art? I will give two definitions of art and go over the eight different types there are.

Definition
Definition of Art:
1. The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power (oxford dictionary).
2. The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium.
There are several different definitions to art. I believe these are the two that stuck out with me as I believe art is human expression through objects and production. Some would say that sports are an art form. I would have to agree. If you look at an athlete and there muscle tone, that could be art to some of us.
There are eight different types of art painting, sculpture, architecture, photography, print making, conceptual art, installation art, and performance art.
The Mona Lisa painting is the most famous painting in the world of all times. By: Leonardo da Vinci. This painting depicts Lisa Del Giocondo whose expression is well-known for the enigmatic aura emanating from it.
The sculpture is unnamed and is often referred to as the “Chicago Picasso” or “The Picasso”. Picasso never explained what the sculpture was meant to represent and many have come up with theories of their own. The sculpture was originally greeted with much controversy because of its abstract form but it quickly became a Chicago landmark. The sculpture was unveiled to the public on August 15, 1967. By Pablo Picasso.
Living in Chicago I have to talk about the Sears Tower. Highest building in the world 1974-1997, 103 elevators, and made with 74000 tons of steel were used for the construction. The architects are Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (Bruce Graham). The architecture of this building still amazes me today, there is even an observation deck - known as the sky deck - is one of Chicago's most popular attractions at 1,353 feet, it's Chicago's The ledges on the Sears Tower highest observatory.
Ansel Adams is on the most famous photographers of all times. I have had the chance to see some of his photos and the one that stood out to me was a photo called Oak Tree, Snowstorm. I believe he captures the beauty of the oak tree and snowstorm. Image is dated 1948 and printed in 1972.
I have found that print making is a form of wood pieces being placed together to form a picture. Brian Devon’s, San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge print is beautiful; I believe it captures the true glow of the bridge.
Conceptual Art is in which the idea presented by the artist is considered more important than the finished product, if any exists. Yoko Ono is one of many famous Conceptual artists.
Installation art describes an artistic genre of site-specific, three-dimensional works designed to transform the perception of a space. Houston artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck turned them into an art installation known as ‘Inversion.’ Using boards from the outside of the houses they created a large funnel-like
