Confetti Girl and Tortilla Sun

In the story’s “Confetti Girl” by Diana Lopez and “Tortilla Sun” by Jennifer Cervantes are about different points of views that eventually cause tension between their parents and child. In the story “Confetti Girl” the daughter wants to frisk her homework, and purposely left her book in her locker to back up her exclamation for not having it. Correspondingly, her father has a copy of the book to do her homework. The Daughter feels that he is worried more about her vocabulary and books rather than what she feels. In the Story “Tortilla Sun” the daughter states that she is responsible to stay home alone, but really wants to go with her mom to her college planned trip. The daughter of “Confetti Girl” didn’t want to go to Mexico to visit someone she barely remembers and feels unsafe safe with. I believe in the two story’s that the reason the tensions was cause is because the child in both story’s feels they are responsible and fells like there parents are not listening. The parents point of view would be for them to want the best for there kids.
