The two documents, A & B, focus on two different views on the Declaration of Independence, one by a pro-independent colonist and another by a loyalist. Document A focuses on reasons that prove the Independence inevitable. Bernard Bailyn views the British actions and tyrannical, their ultimate goal in to “enslave” and control America whilst the king breaks numerous laws set in place. Bernard says America has to overcome Britain with “all the power which God has given them” and will one day become a “Great and Mighty empire.” Document B is a Loyalists perspective on the Declaration of Independence.
