“Leah!Are you coming with me or not ?The dogs are anxious!” Billy yelled. That’s my older brother,BIlly. He’s always rushing me to do something. “One second Billy,I’m looking for my shoes!” I continued, “I’m almost ready!” “I’m practically out of the door!” “I’m coming,I’m coming.” I ran down stairs and met Billy by the door. “ Ann,lets go girl!” I called to my dog. Anne is the cutest little hound dog you’ve ever seen. She has brown spots and the rest of her is white. Her paws are surrounded in poofy fur and she has a brown circle around her eye.She has droopy ears and always looks happy. Dan on the other hand,that is one ugly dog. Ann lets go!” I yelled. “Calm down Leah.She’s a dog let her be.” “Billy! That is way too dangerous.Ann is only a puppy.So is Dan ,they cannot take on a jaguar!” “Yes they can.Now calm down.” I turned my head,only to see Ann making her way up the tree.She must’ve jumped off something,and she clawed the rest of the way. “ANN! Billy do something!” We both raced to the tree and called Ann’s name over and over again. “I’m going to get dad!” I yelled. I ran as fast as the wind.When I got to my house,I dropped my gun I brought with me and called for my dad. “Papa!Papa!Papa!Ann is in a tree with a Jaguar ,and she won’t come down!” I frantically told him. Off in the distance, we heard Billy shout, “ Ann NO!” Papa and I ran super fast to Billy. “What happened son?Why did you yell?” Papa asked. “Just help me get Anne down!” Billy said. Right when my Dad was about to take Ann down from the tree,the jaguar snapped.He bit Ann’s left side and shook her like a chew toy. The animal then took off through the forest,leaving behind,what seemed like,an unfinished murder scene. I looked up for the first time ,and I could see my house. “That was one long walk.” I said as we entered the front door. Billy took Dan to his room.I don’t know why,but he did. I didn’t question him,I just went to my room and tried to sleep.When morning came around,Billy was the first one awake.He took Old Dan to the hill and burried him at the very top.In the grave he put a note. The note said, “My dear old Dan.I raised you from a pup and stayed with you through it all.It is such a shame to see you leave this Earth.I will never replace you.My heart is marked with your name.I don’t know if dogs are in the same Heaven as people,but i sure hope so.Until we meet again Best friend.
