1. What is the film Duck and Cover about? What messages is it offering? Put yourself in the mindset of a child in the 1950s-how does it make you feel, as you watch it? The title of “Duck and Cover” was really great. The entire concept of kneeling and covering at the flash of an atomic bomb attack was an excellent idea. I guess it served as a sense of comfort, getting the public to think that they will not be harmed if they would “duck and cover.” I make such a statement because radiation and “ducking” or “covering” do not go together because “ducking” and “covering” would not prevent exposure from radiation.
