Early Childhood Education Course Analysis

Many theorists have left an imprint on my understanding of early childhood and the way each and every child learn and grows. There were theorists who taught the world that had difference in traditional education. From my understanding theorists roaming from the traditional approach, which viewed children as mindless bodies that are to be filled and shaped, and instead, promote a more improve approach, which requested that the world look at children as individuals, with their own strengths and weaknesses. Five of these theorists that I have learned about in this course have helped shaped the way we teach Friedrich Froebel, John Dewey, Maria Montessori, Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson.
How I understand child development will guide my role as a professional in Early Childhood Education is that helps me create effective, and developmentally appropriate, lessons. Since have an understanding of child development in a way that helps me create lesson plans that will help my students learn new concepts. Students emotional, physical, mental, and intellectual support are still developing. Children do not all develop at the same rate, but they do tend to follow stages. I understand what a child at a certain age should developmentally be able to do. Thanks for the studies on theorists that I have given the opportunity to do.
I will continue to enhance my understanding of development appropriate practices by keeping up to date on all new research and take continue education units to improve and develop new skills I can bring into the class.
