Internet Search on Assessments and Evaluations
The term assessment refers to the wide variety of methods that educators use to evaluate, measure, and document the academic readiness, learning progress, and skill acquisition of students from preschool through college and adulthood. Evaluations is a systematic determination of a subject's merit, worth and significance, using criteria governed by a set of standards. It can assist an organization, program, project or any other intervention or initiative to assess any aim, realizable concept/proposal, or any alternative, to help in decision-making; or to ascertain the degree of achievement or value in regard to the aim and objectives and results of any such action that has been completed. When searching for information on both these terms, I remembered that a lot of Psychologist use these to determine a patients or clients Personality, disorders, social development or aptitudes. It is very important, that all mental health care or therapist understand the use of these assessments and evaluations.
Each evaluation is used for specific area, and only the need of that area will determine if it’s a personality test or projective test to provide a child/adults issues. If it’s for school, the evaluation are based on the capacity to learn, the capacity to retain to understand in order for the student to pass to another grade or even graduate. SATs are very important for all college students. The MMPI is the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test.
