Eulogy For Children

If you have never read the children’s storybook and tango makes three, I encourage you to read it before introducing it to your children. The story line of this book is about two male penguins who are in love. They spend all their time together and try to do everything the normal couples do. They eventually realize they cannot create an egg of their own. Their zookeeper gives them an egg from another penguin couple who could not care for it. They take turns keeping the egg warm and safe until it hatches. After the egg hatches they continue to care for the chick as she grows into a young adult. Although many parents believe that introducing children to this book may cause them to have homosexual thoughts or participate in homosexual behaviors, I believe all child have the right to be introduced to the reality happening around them in the world today. …show more content…
Just because a child is educated on a situation, matter, or lifestyle does not mean that they have to concur with or believe in it. Most parents believe that they should shelter their children from the truth of this matter, but I think it only confuses them more when they do learn the truth. At some point in life every child will encounter something that their parent(s) believe is distasteful or unworthy, whether it be someone the child personally knows, a celebrity on television, or the couple behind them in line at the grocery store.
