The final exam is conducted by the University Registrar. Questions regarding the examination timetable or deferred exams etc. must be addressed to the exams office.
Preparing for the examination.
The best guide to what the questions on the exam will look like is the teaching materials used during the semester (for example, lecture notes, lecture illustrations & workshop problems in particular, as well as the independent study & tutorial questions).
Use only relevant parts of past exams & only those provided on MyLO. Content changes over the years. You will only be examined on the material covered this semester.
You are encouraged to ask for help while you are preparing for the exam. o ALL questions about exam content must ONLY be asked on MyLO o Teaching staff will be available for consultation o PLEASE ask SPECIFIC QUESTIONS & take copies of your work to your lecturer o If you missed a class – first go to the recorded lectures & work through all the materials on that topic... if you need help with any of the problems, please ask…but you must show that you have studied the topic area.
Use the MyLO discussion board to ask and/or answer questions too – there’s no such thing as a
‘silly’ question; in fact everyone else in the class is probably sitting there waiting for you to ask!
The examination will be structured in the following way:
