The age of exploration was about people wanting to make a life for themselves that was better, that they could afford, and that they could make a living from. I feel that this time offered many positive opportunities. There are many factors that contributed to the age of exploration like luxury goods, new resources of gold and silver, new trading opportunities, and exploration of new lands.

The renaissance people had confident thoughts about human beings and their abilities. This gave explores the world view needed to take on new and risky challenges. The explorers were not afraid to take these risks because they had faith that they would encounter new trade and new people to trade with and get opportunities to get some items that they had never had before or thought of
