The age of exploration was about people wanting to make a life for themselves that was better, that they could afford, and that they could make a living from. I feel that this time offered many positive opportunities. There are many factors that contributed to the age of exploration like luxury goods, new resources of gold and silver, new trading opportunities, and exploration of new lands.

The renaissance people had confident thoughts about human beings and their abilities. This gave explores the world view needed to take on new and risky challenges.
