The main character Montag in the science fiction novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, has to hide his passion of reading. In the beginning, Montag used to burn books but turned into a hated bookworm by the end of the novel. Montag knows he is one of a few people who secretly read. Even though you might like technology and not like books, Montag sees it as unfair. If I was in his shoes I would see the world as dangerous, unjust, and ignorant rather than a fair peaceful world.

I would see the world if I was in Montag shoe's as a dangerous place to be. Murder is rapid and if you break many laws you will get murdered. Teens murder other teens in the novel. The amount of murders is much more than in the real world. Breaking laws will get you killed much of the time. For example, Montag was hunted down by a mechanical dog for only reading books. There is not a good system of law which is shown through just murdering you for a minor crime. Montag learns that Clarisse has died. Montag is hunted down for only reading books. In a fair world you would get a trial, but in the novel you have just been killed for breaking a law. It is unjust to antagonize someone for just reading like in Montag's case. In a fair world would embrace differences or not judge. Clarisse's family is not like most people and many of her family members go to jail for unjust reasons. According to Clarisse, her uncle was put in jail for walking. Society does not want you to think and talk about deep thoughts. To prevent this they went as far as to get rid of gardens, porches, and even rocking chairs. It is ironic that Montag once burnt books and was a normal society member to someone who thinks deeply and enjoys little thinks in life.
