What is art history? Art can be eternal, the “beauty” of its appearance, by having a meaning of significance, and appeal to humanity across the ages. This is usually what applies to the idea of “high” or, fine art, in other words paintings and sculptures. This kind of visual material can have an independent presence, we can enjoy by looking at it for its own sake, independent of any knowledge of its context. Although of course spectators from different time eras or cultures may see the same purpose in complementary ways. When we present art history in a gallery or a museum, I think we are looking for history as well as art. It then turns to how their work has cooperated with the visual. In this essay, I am going to tell you how the contributions of the female artists can be honored by talking about one female artist in particular and her name is Frida Kahlo. The contributions of the female artists can be honored by looking at what they have been through as an artist. Female artists had a tough time getting people and men to understand what they want to paint and draw, and what their masterpiece means to them personally. The female artists tend to bring out a lot more emotion and feeling into their artwork, and that is why they should be honored. Female artists have the same potential as men do for the artwork too, but for females, the artwork is a little more personal, and has contributions to it. One artist to use as an example would be Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo was born on July, 6 1907, in a city in Mexico City, Mexico. She is considered one of Mexico’s greatest artists today.
