Summary of Research Question and Outcome:
My research question was formulated on the basis of my persistent interest in the field of medicine. The research process of interviewing with practicing oncologist Dr Dainik Patel informed me about the different symptoms that people have actually experienced, which gives a more practical insight to my research as it enlightens the genuine symptoms that are noted instead of symptoms stated on web articles which, may or may not occur so commonly. His responses were enlightening and guided me further into my research as I was provided an acumen into a doctor’s observations and recount of a patient’s manifestations, without the presence of bias as no opinions were shared. However, overall, the source was knowledgeable in his detailed and enlightening responses which I could confirm with other web articles which proved his credibility and …show more content…
The qualitative research process in the form of a web article published by the University of Utah on testicular cancer, combined to a significant part of my research as I gained detailed and well-explained information which became an important part of my outcome. In specification, the source outlined the symptoms, tumour growth, diagnostic method etc. of testicular cancer which gave insight to my knowledge of Seminoma cancer. The article is authored by four different medical professionals which confirms its reliability and credibility as evident in the medically acclaimed information presented. Furthermore, as the article was published in May 2015, it is also fairly recent which thus indicates proximity in the content of the article. An opportunity that became available to me was that I was able to compare my responses from the interview with this source to test them for their usefulness and effectiveness. The efficient simplicity of the language of the source enabled me to understand the information without becoming confused with the content of the text. This makes the source readable and comprehensible to anyone with competent understanding skills. Overall, this web article contributed to a major part of my outcome that focused specifically on Seminoma tumour growth through different
