Within the health and social care sector there are many different ways of communicating. Good communication is very important in health and social care environment, one reason for is to build relationships with people and the families of people. This is so their meets are understood. Effective communication skills help a person in a vulnerable situation to feel safe, secure and also respected. There are many different contexts for communication, one example includes formal and informal communication. Informal communication is required between people who know each other well, an example of this is friends and family. This is essential because if the respect is lacked in this aspect then respect then the colleagues might also fail to show respect to the people who use the care service. Communication between colleagues is often quite informal, however what is important is respect and trust should be built between them.
