In act two Andrey is married to Natasha with a son named Bobik. In act two, the theme of dissatisfaction is prevalent. Andrey began his career he is on the district council but he is not fulfilling his dream of being a professor, “I am the secretary of the district council- and Protopopov’s the chairman- and the most I can hope for is to become a member of the Board!
