Benjamin Franklin is known as one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He is also known as a scientist, a printer, politician, postmaster, inventor, diplomat and so much more. All of his life, he stayed loyal to the Puritan virtues and political values he was grown up with and he wanted to pass these values to the American Culture. He had a very strong passion for virtue. Through his work for the people of the colonies and his gazette he managed to educate, to induce the community spirit and charity to the common people, as he used to refer to them in his autobiography.
Franklin cultivated his character and built his life around the thirteen virtues that he wrote when he was 20 years old. These virtues were: Temperance, silence, order, frugality, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquility, chastity and humility.
