I. During the middle ages, there were several powerful European leaders. They are Henry VIII of England, Louis XI and Francis I of France, Fernando and Isabel of Spain.
II. Henry VIII was born on 1491. He has a total of six wives. Each time one of his wives were pregnant, he always had high expectations for a male child. This is important to him because when the time comes, the male heir would inherit all his assets. During his reign as the king, he relied heavily on Thomas Wolsey to give him advice. He is known as the father of the Royal Navy. Before his death, he built a large and strong navy to fight for military conflicts.

Fernando was born 1452 in Aragon and Isabel was born on 1451 in Castile. They both were the King and Queen of Spain. While Fernando have strong political skills and Isabel receives a lot of support from nobles, they are the most powerful people in Spain. The first thing they wanted to do is unite the people of Spain as one. By working with Pope Sixtus, they create an organization called the Inquisition. It is obliged by law that all Jews, Moors, and African Muslims must convert to Christianity or else they are forced to leave. It was also revealed that the couple sponsored Christopher Columbus on his adventures. They provided all the things he needed during his journey and Columbus discovered a new continent. All of the land and wealth of this continent was given to Spain. Overall, Fernando and Isabel managed Spain well economically and politically.
