What were the major factors involved in Reconstruction? How and why did Reconstruction come to an end? Discuss the system of Jim Crow which followed Reconstruction and the various forces which produced the system.

One of the biggest conflicts to ever occur within this country was the four-year Civil War from 1861 to 1865 where the North and South faced off to form the true America. Once the Union won the Civil War, it gave millions of slaves freedom which meant that South need go under a Reconstruction period from 1865 to 1877. The major factors involved in Reconstruction was the South population, the Presidents, Congress, and overall fight by the black population. But as we know the its difficult for people to change all of sudden and South didn?t like the idea of freeing its slaves that made them so much money. But the problem was not just the South during this Reconstruction period; it was also the United States government at fault. Congress took over Reconstruction and tried its very best to fix the inhuman disaster in the South; passed the Reconstruction Act of 1867, ratified the 14th Amendment in the South, and in 1869 passed the 15th Amendment allowing all citizens the right to vote regardless of race or color. During radical Reconstruction period (after 1867) the South got state funded schools, tax legislation, laws against discrimination, and numerous economic programs.
