Can you imagine what it would be like to have yellow fever? The yellow fever epidemic was a horrendous time in history. It affected people's lifestyle, business, and families. The fever of 1793 was a terrible pestilence.

The lifestyles of many people in Philadelphia changed. I feel like it would be very abnormal to have your whole lifestyle change and to have most of your friends die or go to the country where the air was fresher. Everyone’ lifestyle changed because no one was in Philadelphia because no one wanted to get sick so they thought the air in the country was cleaner. Your lifestyle would also change because you couldn't get food from shops and you couldn’t farm because it was too hot. Families in Philadelphia at the time were definitely affected drastically because if your parents died you would have to go to an orphanage until the fever was over and get checked for fever. Families would be affected drastically because your child can die before you because of a fever. It was also affected families drastically because you couldn’t get separated from your family and never see them again and never knowing if they are alive or not or where they are. It would be affected drastically because if all of my family died then you would be alone forever. You family would definitely be affected because if you lost your husband to the fever you would be a widow until you remarry which would be after the fever and might never find another husband. It would overall change your family forever.
