Many shootings have been happening around the world. For this reason many kids have been protesting about gun violence. Violent video games brings violence, negative effects, and distracts them. Violent video games have brought violence to the world. According to Erik Kain, writer for Forbes, “In 2010 in the United States, firearms were used to carry out 11.422 homicides and 19,392 suicides”(1). The majority of people who do own a gun have committed suicide or homicide. "But overall, violent crime is down in the U.S - indeed, as violent games have become more popular,violent crime has fallen." A new study suggests a dose-response relationship among playing violent video games and aggressive and hostile behavior, with negative effects accumulating over time.Violent video games and aggressive and as you play ,your behavior starts to accumulate in a negative way.“Playing video games could be compared to smoking cigarettes. A single cigarette won’t cause lung cancer, but smoking over weeks or months or years greatly increases the risk. In the same way, repeated exposure to violent video games may have a cumulative effect on aggression.” The more you play video games you become addicted and you might change by playing that game.
