“You’re a scrooge.” A saying often used to portray rudeness or stubbornness. However, this saying, based on A Christmas Carol, is largely untrue. In fact though out the book Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge changes quite a bit. In fact by the end of the book Mr. Scrooge donates money and helps out his employees after doing them wrong. This shows that no matter how rude a person is, they can always change.
For example, during stave one on page 24 to 25, Scrooge encounters donation collectors for a charity. They say, “It is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time.” Scrooge, not willing to give up any of his money for a noble cause responds rudely
